“HOPE” is a misunderstood word. Especially when asked, “Do you believe you will be in heaven when you die?” most people will say “I hope so!” not in confidence, certainty or assurance; but skeptically and doubtfully. This is because so many are counting on their good conduct to be acceptable before God, and to balance out their misdeeds. We have called our church “HOPE” because we want to bring the confidence, certainty and assurance of Jesus Christ’s saving grace to you so you can declare “Christ in me, the hope of glory.”
Mission to Kingston
Our mission in Kingston is to be a church that brings glory to God through discipleship, witness and service. First, to make disciples of Jesus Christ who are led to Him in the free offer of the Gospel, and nurtured in Him by the teaching of God’s Word. Second, to add to the witness of Jesus Christ so that people can hear of God’s mercy and salvation. Jesus is the way, truth and life, and no one comes to the Father except through him [John 14:6]. Third, to demonstrate the compassion and mercy of Jesus Christ, who declared: The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and give His life a ransom for many [Mark 10:45]. A main area of service is to widows and children [James 1:27]; and we hope to connect with the elderly and children in kind and loving ways.
